"With a keen interest in supporting those facing mental health challenges, but open to any and all facing financial difficulties, Rocklin Reboots seeks to equip those in need in the GTA and York Region with a usable computer to learn, work, and keep in touch."
How We Operate
We are a CRA registered charity under the Income Tax Act (ITA) and renew donated used computers no longer needed by residents and industry. We wipe the hard drives with military-grade data destruction using the patented RedKeyUSB erasure technology. Then we install a Linux Operating System that uses less system resources than Windows or Mac OS, to renew older computers to donate to those in need. We operate in The Greater Toronto Area and York Region.
What Linux Allows
The decreased demands from Linux on older hardware, allows that hardware to function like a newer computer. You can browse the internet, use email, Zoom, stream, compose Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, and use Chrome, Spotify, Apple Music, Whatsapp Desktop, and much more. Linux allows typical users to enjoy their full array of normal features, on donated used computers. This allows Rocklin Reboots to renew older computers to donate to those in need.

Why We Founded Rocklin Reboots
Rocklin Reboots in a charity founded by Joseph Rocklin. He realized current prices were making new computers inaccessible to many users. Wanting to make access to computers easier, and knowing about the benefits of Linux, he founded this organization in Thornhill, Ontario. We renew older computers to donate to those in need, in and around the GTA and York Region.
We have a computer for you!
To request a renewed computer for your computing needs, please email Request@RocklinReboots.com. We do ask for a small donation for your new computer. However, it is not mandatory and can be waived. If you live in the GTA or York Region area and are struggling to get equipped with the computer(s) you need, please reach out to our charity.
Our Goals
Rocklin Reboots is a Canadian National Charity approved by the CRA. We care about getting computers to those who need them. Tax receipts are issued for all donations valued above $20. To learn more, or to offer your donated used computers, or to request a renewed computer, please email Donate@RocklinReboots.com. We are easily accessible to the GTA and York Region. And for those unable to easily pick up or drop off a computer, we have options for delivering and picking up computers to/from you, in the GTA and York Region.
